Providing a safe and secure child care environment is our Number 1 priority. It's as simple as that.

Just Like Home Early Learning Center is owned and operated within the requirements of the City of Smithville, State of Missouri, Health, Fire, and Building Code regulations. We adhere to the State of Missouri and the National Association for the Education standards for room and playground space, staff to child ratio and the type of program equipment and learning materials used.

The Department of Health and Senior Services, Bureau of Child Care and Licensure license us. We meet Accreditation standards for early childhood programs as defined by the National Association for the Education of Young Child (NAEYC). Just Like Home has a set of safety and security procedures and standards that we strictly enforce.

Some of the highlights include:

• Secure lobby and classrooms. The entrance to Just Like Home is equipped with an electronic lock. All parents must know the PIN number to enter.

• Visitor precautions. Photo ID is required from all unfamiliar visitors. A visitor listed as authorized to pick up a child must still show photo ID if they are not familiar to the school director.

• Equipment safety. Some of our many precautions include child-sized tables that are “non-tippable” and regular monitoring to ensure equipment is in good working order.
